Sooo antsy. I feel like HR and I'm listening to HR.
Bad Brains gets me so stoked.

Fey

I love Tina Fey. I think she may be my hero.  Shes like a modern day Mary Tyler Moore.
She won 3 Emmys for 30 Rock, the other night and was so modest.
"They all look identical."
Her looks, also gave her an advantage to urge peoples votes, without coming across as pushy or simply annoying, like most 'celebrity' democrats tend to be around election time. She did an impressive job acting like Palin, in the season premiere of Saturday Night Live. And what she had to say about it was
"I want to be done playing this lady Nov. 5, so if anybody can help me be done playing this lady Nov. 5, that would be good for me."

I also hate  Annie Leibovitz just because she seems like a complete bitch, unfortunately her photos will never fail to be fucking fantastic. Example- The photos from the "Funny Lady" April issue of Vanity Fair. Fey looks like such a babe, in it.

Today in the News...

Woody Allen had something unenlightening and rhetorical to say about the elections.
"It would be a very, very terrible thing for the United States in many, many ways."(if Obama did not win)
I find it slightly endearing, when Allen stutters his words, but only because you know something witty is probably going to follow. That quote just seems to be a quote from a man who has just suffered a slight stroke.
To nullify this quote, I will simply make a light list of better Woody Allen quotes
  • I believe there is something out there watching us. Unfortunately, it's the government.
  • If my films don't show a profit, I know I'm doing something right
  • There's an old joke - um... two elderly women are at a Catskill mountain resort, and one of 'em says, "Boy, the food at this place is really terrible." The other one says, "Yeah, I know; and such small portions." Well, that's essentially how I feel about life - full of loneliness, and misery, and suffering, and unhappiness, and it's all over much too quickly.
I think that the most appropriate Woody Allen quote for the matter at hand would have to be paraphrasing of what was originaly a piece of Freuds writing
"I would never want to belong to any club that would have someone like me for a member."

Obama was heckled by a group of ignorant...black men, while giving a speech in Florida.
Note: I had to search for this article through a different search engine than i had originally seen the post from, because there were 580 comments mainly on why the men who couldn't respectfully just hold their signs of protest in peace, were a 'breath of fresh air'.
Nobody on that message board seemed to take a minute from their ranting, to find out more about the hecklers. A group run by a guy who likes to be called Michael the Black Man.
I cant deal with this man, his chauvinist followers, and people who blankly feel that this is a fantastic display of African Americans showing true intelligence.

The republican party is wining votes from people who, for some reason, what a president that is just like them.  I can understand this, to a certain extent.
That's why this photograph sums up so much of what i like about Senator Obamas' approach.
Obama likes to eat ice cream, just like me! BUT he likes to clean up the dairy mess that his cone of delicious makes. I NEVER DO THAT! I respect this man! I happen to respect this man so much, that from now on, I will clean up my mess, and not leave it like the slob that i have been during the Bush administration.

oh yeah. And this happened:
The Aquabats ex-drummer and Nicole Richies ex-fat ex-boyfriend have been castrated by a fire created by their private Learjet crashing past a highway.

Day Off

New York Pavilion, a Possible landmark

Photos I took of the New York Pavilion in 2007

The ruins that were once Philip Johnsons New York Pavilion used for the 1964-65 Worlds Fair, is working toward official landmark status!

Ever since i was a tot, who would drive past the sad and erie looking Flushing Meadows Park on my way from the airport, I have occasionally felt like the only New Yorker concerned that a time will come where they just demolish the park completely.
Hopefully my worries will be beamed up in a space pod and never have to return. Then perhaps a day will come where I will be crazed enough with joy and poverty, to walk along the side of the BQE with no shoes, disheveled hair, a tie-dyed shirt with spray painted wolves on the front, smelling like the griddle of a Wendys fast food restaurant and I will be able to say
"You may have taken the Yankee Stadium, Coney Island, the Domino Sugar Factory, AND the YMCA building i loved on 53rd street, but you will never take the rotting remains that keep Queens interesting!!"
And i do hope that the intentions are to keep it as remains and not the next hip outdoor movie theater to play a bundle of movies featuring Molly Ringwald, for the hip kids in the summertime.
I hope they do this for the respects of its architect, Philip Johnson, who had a well known passion for architectural ruins. And who wrote about how pleased he was with the decay of the pavilion in the forward to his book, The Architecture Of Philip Johnson.
In 2001, an organization was formed in hopes of turning the remains into an Air and Space Museum. But in the end it didn't work out.
